Welcome to the Procurement section of the CamTran website. This page is intended to assist current and prospective vendors who wish to provide goods and services to CamTran.

Procurement Types
CamTran operates public transportation in Cambria County and a small portion of Windber in Somerset County. It also owns and operates the Johnstown Inclined Plane, the steepest vehicular Incline in the World.
To provide our services, we rely on a broad range of businesses and contractors who work with us through the procurement process. The goods and services we purchase, ranging from office supplies to buses, are crucial to providing safe, reliable, and economical transportation for our customers.
CamTran is committed to providing a full and open competitive environment for procurement opportunities in conformance with local, state and federal regulations. CamTran solicitations are issued as Request for Proposals (RFP), Invitations for Bids (IFB) or Request for Quotations (RFQ), depending on the type of goods or services.
Guidelines and procedures for all procurements are contained in the bid documents at the time of solicitation. CamTran encourages small businesses owned by minorities and women to pursue contracts to compete for CamTran’s business.

All bids and contracts are subject to all applicable Commonwealth and Federal laws and to a financial assistance contract between the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).
All costs incurred by the Bidders in the development of their bids in responding to this IFB are the sole responsibility of the Bidders. No such costs will be reimbursed by the agency. Furthermore, Proposers must not include such costs as part of their cost proposals to perform any work described in this IFP.
