Job Openings
Johnstown office location, but will require frequent travel between facilities to support both urban and rural operations teams effectively. Responsible for route service planning, maintaining route data, extracting and analyzing information across multiple platforms, and developing, improving, and monitoring data to enhance ridership efficiency.
This role supports the planning, analysis, and management of our urban and rural transit services. This role involves maintaining transit data systems, optimizing bus routes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing technical support and training to operations staff, reporting to the Director of Transportation. Knowledge of the local service area is essential for effective route planning and operational recommendations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an associate’s degree in related field required.
- A minimum of three (3) years experience in transit operations, data management skills and experience with computer operations and applications.
- Knowledge of the service area and advanced knowledge of computer applications is required.
- Knowledge of federal/state transit regulations.
- Effective interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and manage multiple projects.
- Strong problem-solving, and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment with keen attention to detail.
- Valid PA Driver’s License required
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8 hours per day (schedule times are subject to change, as needed)
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

JOB DUTIES
- Coordinate and operate the inclined plane system at the “top station” in a safe and timely manner, utilizing effective customer service skills. Assist tourists with their questions and concerns and aid in the operation of the Gift Shop on an as needed basis.
- This position will be trained and may be scheduled to perform the job functions of the Inclined Plane Conductor and Gift Shop Clerk.
- Ensure confidentiality and expeditious resolution of all duties. Help build CamTran’s employment image by practicing good employee relations and ensuring policies & procedures are enforced consistently and legally.
- Conduct the business of the Authority in a positive manner and demonstrate excellent customer service skills in carrying out job responsibilities in concert with CamTran’s Mission. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Education equivalent to a high school degree along with at least three (3) years of experience in operating mechanical equipment. Retail sales experience is beneficial including customer service interaction.

- Requires bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.

- Valid PA Driver’s License and at least 3 years of driving experience required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform the daily fueling and servicing of all Authority vehicles.
- Remove cash box in conjunction with Dispatcher, if applicable.
- Maintain accurate service records.
- Check and record tire numbers, tire pressures and tread depths.
- Record mileage, hours, etc. as required and report any vehicle damage.
- Visually inspect vehicles for fluid leaks and other unsafe conditions and damages.
- Clean vehicles inside and out including trash removal, floor mopping and vacuuming, windshield cleaning and dusting floors, ledges and dashboards, as needed.
- Install and remove advertising signs.
- Perform heavy and light cleaning in buildings, shops and yards.
- Maneuver vehicles around Authority property.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Requires bending, stooping, reaching and stretching when performing job duties.
- Requires lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Requires extended periods of standing and walking.
