Bus Maintenance Manager (Full-Time)

Ebensburg location. This position is responsible for all aspects of the bus maintenance service and inventory management/control in the Ebensburg location. This position oversees and supports the bus maintenance employees in the Rural division in a union environment. The Bus Maintenance Manager assists and supports the Director of Maintenance by providing management oversight of the Authority’s Bus Maintenance Department in the Rural division and acts as a back-up in Urban division, as needed.

Requirements:

A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management or a related field.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience of inventory control, service management and supervisory experience. (Consideration of the education requirement will be made for applicants with extensive work experience.)
Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and other business-related software
Must possess or obtain a Class B CDL with a passenger endorsement and with air brakes and pass and maintain a DOT Physical (CamTran provides in-house training for CDL)

Director of Transportation (Full-Time)

Woodvale location. Oversees the Urban, Rural and Inclined Plane Transportation departments, ensuring effective customer service and timely operations. The position assists and supports the Chief Operations Officer (COO) by providing management oversight of the Authority’s bus operations. Assists the COO in implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures and establishing metrics for analysis and implementation of change initiatives to meet service objectives.

Requirements:

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration and/or Management or a related field is preferred
A minimum of six years of management, supervisory and customer service experience. Transit or Transportation industry and union environment experience is preferred.
Knowledge of the service area and advanced knowledge of computer applications, including MS Office is required.
Effective interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills along with strong verbal and written communication skills
Must possess or obtain a Class B CDL with a passenger endorsement and with air brakes and pass and maintain a DOT Physical (CamTran provides in-house training for CDL)

Inclined Plane Operations and Store Manager (Full-Time)

Manage, administer, and coordinate the operation of the Inclined Plane and the Inclined Plane Gift Shop, promoting business through timely operation, effective customer service and quality products. This position plays a key role in promoting the facility, enhancing community engagement, and driving profitability. Lead, motivate and direct the Inclined Plane personnel, ensuring quality work is performed in a timely, safe and efficient manner. Conduct Rule Compliance checks of Inclined Plane Operators and Conductors. Perform daily Fit-for-Duty checks of Inclined Plane Operator and Conductors. Perform all Safety Management System (SMS) duties as will be outlined in the Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP). Will be the primary safety and security contact for Inclined Plane.

Requirements:

A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management with at least 5 years of retail experience with a customer service focus and 3 years of supervisory experience. (Consideration of the education requirement will be made for applicants with extensive work experience.)

Johnstown location. This position establishes, administers, and coordinates all marketing, communication and public relations which promotes community relations, handles media, and executes marketing programs internally and externally to increase ridership for CamTran and the Inclined Plane. Creates engaging content for digital platforms, social media, and traditional marketing channels. Manages online content of company websites and social media accounts. Sells bus board advertising (non-commissioned) and identifies business opportunities as well as creates and implements strategies for the Authority to maximize ridership and revenue.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience required. Five years experience preferred.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have ability to manage and effectively respond to the media.
Must be comfortable and adept with public speaking and socializing.
Strong in public relations and community engagement.
Strong knowledge and use of computers, Microsoft Office suite, desktop publishing, advertising, and Word Press.

Facilities Laborer/Inclined Plane Maintenance Apprentice(Full-Time)

Primarily Johnstown and Inclined Plane locations. Provides maintenance, preventative maintenance, inspections and general repair, including custodial, to the buildings and grounds of all Authority properties, as assigned. Responsible for assisting in providing maintenance and repairs to the Inclined Plane. Work must be completed in a safe, timely and quality-conscious manner. Acts as the back-up to provide training for all Operators on the operation of the Inclined Plane and the start-up / shut-down procedures of the Inclined Plane in a safe and timely manner. Monitors and ensure compliance with all safety guidelines. Assists with directly supporting the rules and procedures for compliance as outlined in the PA Rail and Transit System Safety Plan and the Incline Hazard and Security Plan.

Minimum of a high school education is required, with preference to those with a vocational education.
A minimum of two (2) years of related maintenance experience.
Sound knowledge and experience in the use of power equipment and hand tools.
Basic working knowledge of electrical, ventilation, HVAC and plumbing practices.
A valid current PA driver’s license is required.
This is a safety sensitive position subject to US DOT Drug and Alcohol pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing.
Must complete at least eighty (80) hours of training and become certified to operate the Inclined Plane.
Starting Wage Range: $17.00-$18.00/hour dependent on experience

Completes preventative maintenance inspections, maintains fluid levels, and repairs and replaces interior and exterior lighting, doors and mirrors, brakes on all systems (hydraulic, air, and electric), safety equipment, wheelchair lifts, basic electrical components, and basic air conditioning. Completes road calls.

High school diploma or GED required. Preference given to those with a technical or automotive school accreditation.
2-4 years of commercial vehicle mechanic experience required.

Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification and PA state inspection license preferred. Must acquire ASE Preventative Maintenance upon hire.
