Security Information...

A Security Plan has been prepared to ensure an ongoing process for safeguarding CamTran employees, customers and facilities. We want the public to be a partner in this effort. We have adopted a BOLO Policy: Be On the Look Out!

Be aware of:

  • Suspicious people, or unusual activity-unattended bags, packages, boxes, backpacks, etc.

  • Smoke or odd smells.

What should you do if you notice something different than usual?

  • If you see someone leave a package, politely bring it to their attention.

  • If you see a bag or package left by itself, stay away from it, tell the bus operator or CamTran personnel immediately.

  • Listen to the instructions of the driver or CamTran supervisor.

  • Familiarize yourself with emergency exits on the bus.

  • Stay calm and orderly.

If you witness an emergency while riding the bus or while at the transit center and have a phone, call 911. If you notice an unusual package on the bus, do not use your cell phone on the bus or in the immediate area of a bus.

Note: All CamTran employees wear a photo i.d. badge with the CamTran logo on it.
