CamTran Live

(live.camtranbus.com)

Live

CamTran is pleased to announce the launch of its real-time website,CamTran Live.   CamTran Live features up-to-the-minute updates on each bus’ location, allowing riders to know exactly where their bus is before they step out the front door.

“We’re very excited to launch this site for our riders,” says Executive Director Rose Lucey-Noll.  “It’s taken months of work and dedication, but we all knew it would be something that would facilitate the transit experience for our riders.”

The site utilizes CamTran’s global intelligence system.  Every minute, each operating bus sends its exact location to the site, allowing riders to see if there bus is running late or right on time.

“The notion of having to wait at the bus stop in the cold or hot sun is gone with CamTran Live,” says Bill Wilkinson, CamTran Board Chairman.  “Now you can wait for the bus in the comfort of your own home or workplace.”

There are other features to the site that new riders may find useful, like the ability to see maps of CamTran’s routes.  Just click on a route’s name, and you’ll find each of that route’s stops dotted on the map.  Click on your stop and you’ll find out when the next bus comes to that stop and the names and times of other routes that stop there, too.  Even better, with real-time technology, riders can see exactly when the bus will be there.
